Sinix Slays started rapping at the age of 11. For many years, he continued to practice rapping under the influences of various artists, such as: Eminem, Kanye West, Mac Miller, Machine Gun Kelly, Wiz Khalifa, and Drake. At the age of 17, he began the process of formally writing down some of his more practiced and refined raps; mostly with his phone's "notes" application. After years of writing, practicing, and editing a compilation of note-files containing raps, he decided it was finally time to get them recorded. Sinix Slays, with his Blue Yeti Microphone, instrumentals from YouTube, and the use of a freeware software called Audacity, managed to create a decent first track -- and the rest, as they say, was history.
This project represents 6 years of writing lyrics (2009-2015) and then another 8 years of recording music (2015-2023). The first 24-tracks form Sinix Slays' debut rap mixtape - using instrumentals from some of his favourite songs, but with his own lyrics. The remaining tracks (from #25 & onwards) form his debut cover album - where he recorded his own attempts at some shower-time favourites. Run-time for the album is over two and a half hours ... if you get through it all in one sitting, be prepared to have a headache by the end. This album is best experienced via high-quality headphones at roughly the same volume you'd normally watch a movie at. Sinix Slays is not planning to release any other additional recordings in the future, at this point in time. It is what it is.
The primary purpose of this project was to fulfill a childhood promise Sinix Slays made to himself, "to at least try." He may not have the world's most angelic voice - or cleanest, most intricate raps - but at least he gave it a shot. Fifty, sixty, seventy years from now - he hopes that, "some kids find this album in the archives of "what was formerly known as the internet," and think to themselves while listening, "yeuh, that's that raw, old-school s*** I need in my life right now, ya dig?"
